Product Description

The BMR684 is a powerful isolated digital DC/DC converter housed in a quarter brick format.The converter has an output power up to 700 W or 14 A at 50 V output, and an input range of 36-75 V.
It offers a high efficiency of up to 96% typical at full load, and has a broad output voltage adjustment range of 25-55 V.
The BMR684 series can operate over a temperature range from -40°C up to +125°C (hot spot temperature), and offers exceptional MTBF figures in excess of 6Mhrs
These converters are primarily aimed at radio frequency power amplifier (RFPA) applications and infrastructure for the 5G telecom market, but can also be used in other industrial applications where a regulated output is needed at high power densities.
Standard protection features for this model include over-voltage, over temperature and short-circuit protection mechanisms.
The BMR684 includes a PMBus® interface for digital Configuration, Monitoring and Control, and is supported by our own Flex Power Designer tool. The product incorporates a wide range of readable and configurable power management features that are simple to implement with a minimum of external components.
Samples are available now, and the part is expected to be released to mass production in Q2-23.
