TraceParts Enterprise - User portals
Increased flexibility for business relations
TraceParts Enterprise supports the setting up of specific user portals
in companies with a large number of component suppliers.
The quantity of different third-party components is growing all the time
in engineering firms. Parts in constant demand are re-engineered,
other components are developed and designed, while new suppliers
are taken on.
The fact that parts are readily available in-house as
online data records compatible with all current CAD systems has only
served to reinforce this trend.
Companies in the manufacturing industry
want to standardize this host of different parts in order to save
money and resources, while maximizing the reusability rate of purchased
parts. At the same time, parts suppliers can improve their
customer relations if, as a "preferred" supplier, they can simplify
customers' business processes and so, operate in a value-added customer/
supplier role.
Service on request using customized software
TraceParts Enterprise portals are customized exactly to meet the
requirements of users in companies and are adapted to the existing IT
environment.
Every portal contains exactly the specified parts that a
particular company needs. This means that parts reusability is maximized
while parts diversity is reduced at a minimum level, therefore
optimizing the purchasing of parts.
To do this, the catalogs available in
the TraceParts library can be preselected or the portals can be created
according to the company's requirements, in cooperation with the
component manufacturer.
The selection may involve just a single
component of one particular size. This ensures that a designer always
receives the right components, along with the additional product-specific
data.
The selected parts may already be identified in advance
with company-specific article codes. This also facilitates access to the
relevant data. You can then offer your customers a customized online
service, which they can use to accurately synchronize supply and
demand.
This ensures an effective customer/supplier relationship.
