Start TraceParts from its icon in CATIA
Click the automatic replace icon
A dialog box will appear prompting to select the part to replace
TraceParts will be shown in the foreground so the user can select the part to use for replacement,
After confirmation, a new dialog box will ask the user if all the occurences of the part have to be replaced,

Advanced use > Automatic replace Warning Apart from during the TraceParts trial period, a specific licensing option must be purchased to use the link module. Without the licensing option, this module will be unavailable. What does "Automatic replace" involve? "Automatic replace" feature allow TraceParts to replace components inserted with the library, in an assembly, by another one automatically. Automatic replace CAUTION: This feature is only available for CATIA V5 platform (V5R13GA minimum). Only components issued from TraceParts can be replaced. Procedure: Open an assembly containing components from TraceParts, Start TraceParts from its icon in CATIA Click the automatic replace icon A dialog box will appear prompting to select the part to replace TraceParts will be shown in the foreground so the user can select the part to use for replacement, After confirmation, a new dialog box will ask the user if all the occurences of the part have to be replaced, Click "Yes" to replace ALL occurences of the selected part: Click "No" to replace ONLY the selected occurence : Click "Cancel" to cancel the replacement End of procedure.
