    2. Start TraceParts from CATIA V5,
    3. Return in CATIA V5 and click the "Add parts in batch mode" icon
    4. A dialog box will open to allow the user to select the files containing the components to add

      Note: This is a regular "open" Windows dialog box. You can select several files at once using the uppercase and/or ctrl keys.

      At this stage, all the files have a red tick in front of them. These red ticks mean that the components are not ready to be added to the library.

      You can also notice that the "OK" button that starts the adding process remains greyed.

    7. Select one of the listed file

    8. Everything described below when one file is selected is also true when several files are selected at once.

      "Classifications" and "Documents" tabs become active and allow the user to associate the selected file to one or more classification (that means it defines the place in the library where the component will be available) and also associate one or more document.

      Selecting a classification

      It is mandatory to select at least one classification.

      Only one classification is currently available, this is the "User Classification".

      => Check the "User Classification".

      As soon as a classification is selected, the red tick will be replaced with a green one. This mean the component is ready to be added to the library.

      To be able to start the "add parts" process, ALL the files MUST have a green tick.

      This is only then that the "OK" button will be activated.
