Before start, please note:

• All of our DVDs will install TraceParts in trial mode. TraceParts will run in registered mode once the protection system is installed.
• The user that will install TraceParts MUST have administrator rights,
• The CAD programs to be used with TraceParts have to be installed locally on each of the PC.
• The CAD programs to be used with TraceParts MUST have been launched at least one time before installing TraceParts.

Already TraceParts users:

If TraceParts has already been installed on the computer (any version)

If the installation has been done more than 10 days ago, the new installation will be done, but will give an error at the end, telling the trial period has expired.

If so..

..if you are a customer:
Then just end the installation by clicking the "Cancel" button (of the protection dialog box) and install the protection system you have purchased(code, dongle, school license or floating license).

..if you are not a customer yet:
Except buying TraceParts, you can extend the trial period once, by filling the form here:

IMPORTANT

• If a version prior to TraceParts v2.5.0. is currently installed on the computer where you are about to install the new version of TraceParts:
  
  • The previous TraceParts version must be uninstalled. 
  
  
• If the installed version or product is the same as the one you are about to install : STOP!
  
  Indeed:
  
  1. The version/product you are about to install is the same as the one already installed, even if you have bought it, it is useless to loose time reinstalling it again.
  2. This is the protection system that makes a trial version a registered version, so the already installed version will work the same as the one you wanted to install,
  3. If you did not install all the catalogs, or if you want to uninstall some catalogs, please refer to the TraceParts user manual, "Advanced use" section, chapter "Add or Remove Parts Catalogs"
  
  
• Antivirus: It is recommended to disable antivirus the time of installation

Warning

• Because of the large number of files required by TraceParts, it is strongly recommended that the partition on which the TraceParts catalogs are installed be formatted in NTFS.
• ATI users: it is advisable to disable hardware acceleration from TraceParts configuration.

100 MB free on the disk where Windows is installed (if all possible CAD drivers are selected);

10 MB free for installation of the application;

2 GB free for installation of the catalogs.
