TraceParts news for your RSS reader
What are RSS news feeds?
RSS is a platform independent XML based format developed to spread news and other web content. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" (alternatively "Rich Site Summary" or "RDF Site Summary").

Any time a web site is changing its content you can get the latest information without having to visit the websites you have subscribed the news feed from. So you can keep up with all information provided by your favourite websites without the need of checking them manually by using a so called news reader.

How can I read a RSS news feed?
You can read feeds either by using a piece of software called news reader or you might use a web browser like Firefox 2, Internet Explorer 7, Opera or Safari.

The third way is to use a web-based news reader giving you the possibity to catch up with the latest news from any computer connected to the web.

How do I subscribe to a RSS news feed?
You can subscribe to a feed in different ways. The most common way is cutting and pasting the URL of the offered feed in the used news reader. The URLs are mainly offered using a orange RSS/XML button but sometimes also simple textlinks are used.

Web browsers like Firefox 2, Internet Explorer 7, Opera and Safari automatically check web sites for feeds. The orange RSS icon is displayed in the address field when a web site is providing a feed. So you are also able to control and organize feeds via your favourite browser. For more information about it simply check your the browser´s online manual.
